Yoga in Kalpitiya
Join our Kalpitiya early morning yoga sessions!
Start your day with peace, movement, and nature. At Margarita Kite School, we offer yoga in Kalpitiya on our beautiful open-air platform right by the lagoon — a calm and rustic setting perfect for reconnecting with yourself.
During the windy season, we organize yoga sessions on request, usually in the early morning before heading out for kitesurfing. Practicing yoga helps stretch the body, clear the mind, and prepare you for an amazing day on the water. On special days, we also enjoy sunset yoga sessions after the wind calms down — a perfect way to unwind with golden light over the lagoon.

Kalpitiya is a remote and peaceful village, far from the tourist crowds, surrounded by nature and perfect for slowing down. Whether you’re here for kiting or just looking for yoga in Kalpitiya, our sessions will help you find balance and energy during your stay.
If you’re staying with us or just visiting the area, feel free to ask about upcoming classes. We’d love to share this experience with you.

When do we practice?
We offer yoga sessions on request, usually in the early mornings before kitesurfing or in the late afternoons as sunset sessions. It depends on the wind conditions and instructor availability, but we often gather with guests and friends at the lagoon platform to flow and relax together.
We also have a WhatsApp group where we announce upcoming classes. You can sign up there for the next day’s session.
What type of yoga do we offer?
Most of our teachers are experienced and certified yoga instructors, and depending on the teacher, sessions can include:
-
Hatha Yoga (most common)
-
Vinyasa Flow
-
Ashtanga-inspired sessions

How many people are in a class?
Classes usually range from 1 to 10 people, depending on the day. Some days it’s a private, silent session; other days it becomes a social and energizing group flow.
